Cycling Tartu's continental team secured a new title sponsor
Updated: Nov 23
Klubi Cycling Tartu lead by the 2 ex-pro's Rene Mandri and Jaan Kirsipuu found a new title sponsor for their UCI continental team.
Their team Tartu2024/BalticChainCycling.com finished the year with a high 21st place in Europe Tour ranking with U23 Finnish, Estonian & Latvian riders. Two of their riders managed to secure a contract in French teams, Rait Ärm continues in Groupama FDJ continental and Markus Pajur in the Pro Continental squad Arkea Samsic.
Despite the good results, the team lost some funding after Covid-19 economical slow down and the team management wasn't sure a month ago if they can continue as a continental team in 2021.
"We are really glad that we managed to secure some new sponsors and that we managed to make a deal with a fast growing company who was ready to become our title sponsor. We are really thankful. The former title sponsor, the university town of Tartu will continue supporting us and we continue promoting them as the European capital of culture 2024 ," explained Mandri.
The name of the new title sponsor will be announced on 22nd November at 11am in Lõunakeskus during the presentation of the team's line up and plans for 2021.
Klubi Cycling Tartu's expo area in Lõunakeskus will be reopened on 22nd November at 11am too.
