The Estonian sprinter Oskar Nisu (Cycling Tartu in 2019) had an verbal agreement with a continental team from Belarus, Ferei-CCN and looked like he will be racing most of the season in Asia or Eastern-Europe, but the last minute call made him sign to the well-known Irish continental team, EvoPro Racing.
Oskar is the 4th rider from Cycling Tartu to sign for a foreign team ( Norman Vahtra signed for the World Tour team Israel Start-Up Nation, Siim Kiskonen & Joosep Sankmann will continue their career in the French DN1 team St Etienne Loire) .
Training at the moment in the Spanish town Girona, Oskar told us, that he will travel soon to Belgium and he will have an European calendar with the new team, it means that he will live next to the team base in Belgium.
The initial team line-up will include three Irish and seven foreign competitors. Of those, four are returning from the 2019 squad. They are the sprinter Wouter Wippert and fellow Dutchman Peter Konig, Australia’s Cyrus Monk and the Briton Daniel Whitehouse.
New signings include Brazilian road race champion Vitor Zucco Schizzi, the Spaniard Bernat Font Mas and Oskar Nisu. The three Irish guys are Aaron Kearney, Ben Walsh and cyclocross and road rider Seán Nolan.
Oskar confirmed us, that the team will begin racing at the GP Jean-Pierre Monseré in Belgium on March 8th. He is not sure of his program yet, as the hole story is too fresh for him too.
