Richie Port took over the leader's jersey of the Santos Tour Down Under

The Australians are always in a good condition for the Santos Tour Down Under and this year isn't any exeption as there were 3 of them in top 4 today. The fastest man up the last explosive climb on a 131km long stage from Unley to Paracombe was Richie Port (Trek Segafredo) again (he won here also 2 years ago).

The last year's winner Daryl Impey (Mitchelton Scott) finished 6th on today's stage and is now second in GC, only six seconds separating him and Port, it means that Willunga Hill will be decisive again and nothing is done yet as many others are only few seconds away too.

It didn't go well for Martin Laas's team Bora-Hansgrohe. Their protected rider Jay McCarthy crashed today too and he finished together with his teammates Martin and Schwarzmann Michael, some 12 minutes after the stage winner.
